Bruce and Jeannette welcome you to West Acre House, a very fine Edwardian villa on the outskirts of Alnwick, the county town of Northumberland. The house stands majestically in its one acre garden which the guests are welcome to enjoy.

The accommodation offers an interior influenced by the arts and crafts movement, with very comfortable bedrooms and excellent bathrooms. Our aim is to make your stay enjoyable, comfortable and one which you will remember for all the right reasons.
Guests have said "It’s like staying with friends" we hope it is for you too!

We have four bedrooms, the first is set out as a twin bedded room with 2 single beds it has a large bathroom with fixed shower over the bath and an extra large walk in wardrobe.

Room 2 or the Edwardian Room has a king-size bed and is decorated in Edwardian style, the bathroom has a bath and shower over.

Room 3 or the oriental Room is furnished traditionally and has many Oriental style pieces and artwork. The bathroom has a bath and shower over. This bedroom is the most spacious room and has a very comfy settee.

Room 4 or the mahogany Room is furnished with Mahogany furniture and has complimentary decor it is almost New England in style. The bathroom completely refurbished in 2008 has a lovely walk in shower cubicle and contemporary decor.

A tea tray is always available for you in the bedrooms, and we are happy to provide a tea tray in the guest lounge between 8.30 - 9 pm.

The bedrooms are equipped with TV's, Video and DVD players and we supply a very good selection of movies for you to pass away any spare time.

Breakfast is included in our tariff, most diets can be catered for by arrangement.

Road Directions

From A1 - If travelling north take the Alnwick turn. Follow road for 1/2 mile to mini roundabout, turn right towards Alnmouth, (ignore 1st turn on left signed West Acres) take 2nd turn on left. West Acre House is the 2nd gateway on right.

If travelling South on the A1 ignore the turning for the 1st turn for Alnwick and Alnwick Garden, instead travel south to next exit. When you reach the roundabout turn right towards the town centre then follow directions as above.

Public Transport Directions

From Alnmouth Railway Station
A bus will take you to Alnwick just ask the driver to put you off at West Acres or you can phone us for transport.
