Road Directions

From the A1058 Coast Road at Billy Mill roundabout, head straight across. At the next roundabout (swimming pool on right) turn left along the A192. Continue along to the third roundabout and take the first exit continuing along the A192. Turn right at the first roundabout on Cauldwell Lane and continue over the railway bridge to the traffic lights. Continue straight on to the next set of traffic lights and straight on again (take care as there is a no right turn here due to a one way system). At the seafront traffic lights turn right and right again at the next set of lights on Park Avenue. The Sandsides is about 100 yards on the left.

Public Transport Directions

Whitley Bay Metro Station is about 30 minutes away from Newcastle city centre and Central Station on the Metro. Newcastle International Airport is about 45 minutes away (changing platform at South Gosforth).

From Whitley Bay Metro Station take the exit to the coast platform and turn right on Victoria Terrace. At the pedestrian crossing cross straight over Whitley Road and continue down North Parade. With a car slaesroom on the left follow Oxford Street straight ahead. Turn left on Park Avenue and the Sandsides is on the right. It is a 10 minute walk.
