Relax in the conservatory overlooking the large garden and listen to the gentle trickle of Swinhope Burn as it meanders by.
Accommodation is provided in centrally-heated family and double rooms with luxury en suite facilities. TV, tea/coffee-making facilities are provided in each room. Full English breakfast or continental alternative is served in an attractive dining room overlooking the garden. Evening meals can be obtained at the village pub a short walk away, or at a variety of eating places in the surrounding villages.
Within an area of outstanding natural beauty, there are many picturesque walks taking in views of the unspoilt scenery of open moorland, beautiful streams and waterfalls flowing into the River Wear. The area is renowned for its dry stone walls, grazing sheep and rich wild flower meadows. There are many visitor attractions within walking distance, Raby Castle, Beamish Museum, Killhope Wheel and Hadrian's Wall to name but a few. Newcastle, Durham and the market towns of Hexham and Barnard Castle are within easy access.
