Jasmine Cottage is a stone building converted in 2006 to provide modern accommodation, all on one level with consideration given to the less able. Well situated just off the A68 (for journeys to and from Scotland) and in open countryside with panoramic views on the edge of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Open plan living/dining/kitchen area, with all modern appliances including cooker (gas hob, electric oven) fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. Double bedroom with double bed and en suite shower and toilet and twin bedroom with en suite facilities. Cot available. Duvet, pillows, linen and towels provided.

We operate a strictly no smoking policy and pets are not allowed in the cottage. The property is set in 13 acres of land mainly used for equestrian activities. Guests are welcome to walk around the gardens and newly planted woodland.

Locally there is ample walking, cycling (0.25 mile from the C2C), fishing, golf, horse riding, sailing and swimming. There is a riverside park, a working farm and the Diggerland attraction to interest children. Good pubs and food and supermarkets are a short drive away.

Near open moorland and Weardale and historic villages of Blanchland and Edmundbyers. Other places of interest include Beamish Museum, Causey Arch, Tanfield Railway, Gibside Chapel, The Roman Wall, Durham City and Cathedral, Newcastle, The MetroCentre and Hamsterley Forest. Further afield are the Northumberland coast, Alnwick Castle and gardens, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Holy Island.
